Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)

Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)

Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a telecommunications standard that enables digital transmission of voice, video, and data over traditional phone lines. Before broadband and VoIP technologies became dominant, it was widely used because it offered faster connection speeds and higher call quality compared to analog systems.

Although it was once a preferred choice for businesses, it is gradually being phased out in favor of IP-based technologies like VoIP. Many telecom providers are discontinuing ISDN services, prompting organizations to transition to more modern communication solutions.
