SRFax vs Sfax: Fax Service Review

Sfax vs SRFax

Which is safer?

Both Sfax and SRFax have robust encryption protocols that keep your data safe and secure. They use 256-bit TLS and AES encryption to prevent any unauthorized access. SRFax goes further by employing a multi-layered security approach called “Defense in Depth.” This provides enhanced security to eliminate threats like DoS (Denial of Service) attacks.

Does SRFax have a better user interface than Sfax?

SRFax has a modern and user-friendly interface with easy-to-locate menus and controls. Sending a fax is straightforward, and you can drag and drop file attachments. You can also customize fax cover sheets and block specific fax numbers.

SRFax alternative, Sfax, has an outdated user interface by comparison. However, it’s still reasonably easy to navigate and comes with side menus so you can fax inbox, contacts list, and other settings quickly without much confusion. It also comes with a unified dashboard wherein you can view, track, and manage all the faxes you’ve sent and received online.

Are they HIPAA compliant?

Sfax was built for the healthcare industry and provides HIPAA-compliant faxing services. They are willing to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), which showcases their commitment to handling PHI securely. However, you must get the Plus plan to request a signed BAA.

SRFax is also HIPAA-compliant. It follows the required administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect sensitive patient information from malicious entities like ransomware groups and snoopers. This includes performing personnel background checks and applying strong security measures to its data centers. They have a Healthcare Lite Plan, which gives access to HIPAA-compliant features for a low price.

Does SRFax have dedicated mobile apps?

SRFax has a great web client that you can use to access its faxing options. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any dedicated mobile applications that you can download on an Android or iOS device. As a workaround, you can use its email-to-fax feature to send faxes from mobile. You can also count on its mobile-responsive website, easily accessible via any browser.

Sfax has an iOS mobile app aside from its web client portal. However, the iOS app hasn’t been updated in a while, and there are comments about bugs and glitches. Unlike SRFax, Sfax doesn’t support email-to-fax, so when using a non-iOS mobile device, your only option is to use its web browser version.

Do they support fax document signing?

Sfax has its own eSignature feature, unlike SRFax, which doesn’t. With it, you can digitally sign your faxes without printing them by dragging and dropping your signature into the document.

With SRFax, you must use a third-party electronic signature service to sign any faxed document digitally.

Do Sfax and SRFax have API and developer support?

SRFax’s user-friendly RESTful Fax API lets you send faxes using any existing software or app. Plus, you can customize how it sends and receives faxes with its seamless fax integration solution. This makes faxing documents straight out of your EMR or EHR systems hassle-free and seamless.

Not to be left behind, Sfax offers the same API functionalities. It also allows third-party and EMR integrations.

Is Sfax better than SRFax at fax broadcasting?

Sfax lets you send a fax to multiple recipients, but given its pricing scheme, this can be pretty expensive.

SRFax is cheaper. However, it’s limited to only 50 fax numbers in a single broadcast. If you need to mass fax to more than 50 at an affordable cost, you should consider other online faxing solutions.

Which fax service has cost-effective plans?

Sfax has three pricing plans starting at $29 per month. However, it would help if you get the Plus plan at $49 per month to avail of its HIPAA-compliant faxing service. This is good for 700 pages, but should you need to send more, you can get the Contender plan at $99 monthly, which works for up to 1,500 pages. Sfax also has a customized Enterprise plan with a minimum of 2500+ pages monthly.

SRFax has two types of solutions: Standard and Healthcare. You need its Healthcare solution if you want HIPAA compliance. The price starts at CAD 12.60 monthly for the Lite plan, with 200 fax pages. For more pages, you can get Basic at CAD 16.05 monthly for 500 pages or Basic Plus at CAD 22.95 for 800 pages.

Sfax or SRFax, which should you choose?
